A local engineer company needed the existing part number removed and a new part number engraved on a large number of inlet and outlet gears.

The gears are made from steel with a hardened surface finish. We used our fibre laser to remove the old part number and add the new one as per a detailed specification. A very accurate fixture was manufactured to make sure each gear was engraved in the correct place.
